Data Harbor Handles
- Project names, root URLs, crawl settings, schedules, request metadata, and snapshot history are stored in Harbor's local Application Support database.
- Archived website responses, rendered pages, screenshots, and portable exports are stored in folders you select.
- Login cookies you choose to save are encrypted with AES-GCM. The per-project key is stored in the macOS Keychain as this-device-only material. Cookie values are excluded from the database, logs, Spotlight, templates, reports, and portable metadata.
- Security-scoped bookmark bytes are stored locally so Harbor can reopen selected folders. They are excluded from ordinary interfaces and exports.
- The free-archive claim and usage counters are stored locally. A non-secret claim marker containing only random project or run identifiers and a claim date is stored in this device's Keychain to discourage casual trial resets.
Network Activity
Harbor contacts the websites you choose to crawl. Those websites may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, request headers, and browser or client information. The website operator's privacy policy governs its handling of that information.
Browser Mode runs the selected website in a nonpersistent WebKit data store. Safe Preview blocks live HTTP and HTTPS requests.
Harbor does not send crawl or archive data to a Harbor-operated service.
When you view, purchase, or restore Harbor Pro, Apple's StoreKit and App Store services process the product request and entitlement. Harbor accepts only Apple's verified on-device transaction result. Ateliers Underlabs Inc. does not operate a receipt-verification server or upload archive data, website URLs, cookies, credentials, or project information for purchase verification.
macOS Integrations
- Notifications are used for crawl and archive status.
- Spotlight receives project and completed-run metadata only, not archived page bodies, cookies, or individual crawled URLs.
- Finder tags are applied only when you request them for a portable export.
- Keychain protects encryption keys and local purchase or free-archive state.
Your Responsibility
Archives may contain personal, private, copyrighted, confidential, or otherwise sensitive website content. You must have authorization to access and preserve the content you crawl. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws, website terms, and access restrictions, and for protecting and sharing exported archives appropriately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Harbor's features or privacy practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
